Google loves Wordpress, nearly all Wordpress Blogs have a high ranking in search engines, why you dont use this for making money online? Here a short guide how to project a domain good with Wordpress:

Find a good Domain: Find a keyworddomain with maybe 400.000 Google sites in index, not more, then than its more difficult to get a higher ranking.

FInd a good Wordpress Theme: Check out the Wordpress Theme Pool, I use in the last time the theme "Prosense" which is in my opinion very good for our goal making money with a wordpress website

Write content, good content: A website without good content will never have success, so we dont build our website for search engines (high keyword proportion, black hat seo etc.). So good content is the most important thing for your website, try hard to write good content!

Backlinks, backlinks, backlinks: you need some backlinks for good ranking, ask in a forum for link exchange, use the dmoz and other directories.

Install advertising: In my opionion Google Adsense is the best advertising, but try other opportunities like affiliate.
